JKPA Internship Program

Thank you for your interest in the Studio Internship Program at JK Percussion & Arts! This program is designed for young adults (ages 18–25) seeking hands-on experience in audio engineering, studio management, and more. Please read more below and if you are interested, please submit the Internship Program Application below.

What You'll Get As An Intern at JKPA...

Hands-On Studio Experience: Work directly with commercial audio equipment, mixing consoles, live sound setups, and studio management software in a real-world setting.

1:1 Earned Studio Time: Earn 1 hour of off-peak studio rehearsal and recording time for every hour of internship support—giving you free, dedicated access to professional space for your own music projects, band rehearsals, or production work.

Two Specialized Learning Tracks: Choose between the Live Audio & Production Track (mic techniques, signal flow, mixing, session setup) or the Operations & Studio Management Track (client relations, scheduling software, program logistics, and workflow development).

Portfolio & Resume Building: Develop real-world projects—such as standard operating procedures, client onboarding workflows, or live showcase production—that give you concrete achievements to feature on your resume.

Mentorship & Leadership Growth: Receive direct guidance from studio professionals and gain leadership experience through our peer mentorship model as incoming cohorts join.

Flexible Schedule: Program commitments are capped at just 5 to 10 hours per week, making it easy to balance alongside college coursework, jobs, or personal projects.

Our Internship Program is for young adults, ages 18-25.

There will be three 6-month Internship cohorts throughout the year:

Cohort 1: January 1st-June 30th, 2027

Cohort 2: May 1st-October 31st, 2027

Cohort 3: September 1st, 2027-February 29th, 2028
